In 2024, Democrats maintained a House majority with just 60 votes across 3 key races in the entire state of Maine.

That’s right — Democratic control of the Maine House of Representatives came down to just 60 votes and 3 seats. Next year, all 151 House seats are up for re-election.

Although 2026 seems far away, the Maine House Democratic Campaign Committee, the only organization solely dedicated to protecting a Democratic majority in the Maine House of Representatives, is already hard at work to ensure we maintain control of the House. Out work to recruit, staff, and train candidates is essential to maintaining a Democratic majority in the 2026 midterms and beyond!  Your generous donations, no matter how big or small, are essential to the early work required for success in 2026.
